Help me give my students a some flexible options for seating in the classroom that will meet their need to wiggle while still staying focused and on task.
Being Proactive, Working Together, Seeking First to Understand, then to Be Understood... LEADERS. These are only a few of the Leader in Me Habits that my classroom full of students are encouraged and challenged to display on a daily basis. We learn to think deeper, aim higher, and work smarter each day with the goal of becoming lifelong learners and community leaders.
I desire for my students to learn the skills necessary to go out and accomplish their dreams.
We love to sing, dance, and chant our way through each day as we strive to learn more about ourselves and the world around us. We LOVE to learn, we STRIVE to do our best, and we DREAM big dreams...knowing that inside of each one of us is the ability to make those dreams become a reality.
My Project
Choosing the most effective learning environment is an important skill for all people, children and adults included. I look forward to having stability ball seating as an option in my classroom to allow students who need time to move, rock, etc. a way to stay focused on their work while meeting their needs to keep moving, until we can get outside to play!
Sitting in a standard classroom chair with not much movement available is hard, in more than one way.
I love to show students that there is more than one way to solve problems in their academic areas AND there is more than one style of seating. They just need to find what works for them! I look forward to adding this option to our classroom of flexible seating.
