Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is located in southwest Detroit. My students come to school eager and ready to learn. A majority of my students are English Language Learners (ELL/ESL). Their native language is Spanish, with little English spoken at home. It is necessary to provide them with as many learning opportunities as possible within the classroom.
My students are amazing.
They are unique in their own ways and have different learning styles. A variety of learning tools and hands-on activities in my classroom are a must. My goal is to help them achieve all their goals and dreams.
My Project
These materials will help make a difference in my students' when learning about St. Patrick's Day. We will also read the non-fiction books to compare how different places celebrate this day. All of these materials will help St. Patrick's Day come alive! My students will enjoy celebrating St. Patrick's Day. They will love the coloring books. They will also enjoy dressing up for this special day. The banners will help me transform my classroom into a St. Patrick's Day fun room. I cannot thank you enough for helping me bring St. Patrick's Day traditions to each of my students.
