I have used this Squishmallow incentive with my young kiddos for several years now and it is a HUGE hit. We have a PBIS punch card system in our school. The kids can earn punches on their punch cards when they are caught making good choices. It has lots of incentives with the program along the way. I am excited to get some fun Squishmallows plush animals in my own classroom to teach my young students, who are coming to school for the first time, about the system. I will allow the students who fill up their punch card first an opportunity to earn a special Squishmallow prize. I want to have a big selection of these fun soft animals so that there is something special for everyone.
My hope is that these fun items will offer my students an incentive to want to try hard and make the best choices to earn these furry prizes.
Since my kindergarten students have never used this system before I need to start off big, so they get a taste of what they can earn just by making the best choices that they can. In my experiences so far each student has been able to earn an animal and get their journey started off the right way.
