My Students

I have the best students; they are excited to be back at school and are eager to learn. This year’s second grade class has NEVER had a normal school year because of COVID due to school closures and distance learning. Each day is seen as a day to learn! I encourage my students to work with me to set goals to make the most out of their learning and to try and close the academic gaps.

One hundred percent of the students at my school receive free breakfast and lunch.

We have community support and programs to help us provide jackets/coats, clothes, bags with food for the weekend, and school supplies. Even though my students have needs, it does not slow them down on their desire to learn.

My Project

My second grade students and I are having to clean our own classroom due to staff shortages in our school. We need our carpet cleaned so we can continue utilizing the floor space for working in groups and reading in our literature circles. We also need new iPad charger cables to charge our classroom technology. Your donations would mean so much to each one of us.

My students have learned the importance of a clean learning environment.

They understand that a clean classroom maximizes their learning experience. Since our class effort of cleaning daily. We have noticed fewer absences.
