My Project

My students come from households where they may or may not have enough food daily and most do not have any, or very many, books to read, especially on their level. In a few weeks, they will be home for spring break.

I would love to provide snacks to eat and books for my students to read while they are at home for spring break.

These snacks will provide a little bit extra to get them by during the week that we are not providing them with breakfast and lunch daily. The books will help them to have something productive to do while they are away, and hopefully keep them on track during that week. The books that I chose are specifically for the students I serve - children who are socially and racially diverse. The books allow my students to see themselves and learn about people who come from the same backgrounds as them.

We would very much appreciate any donations you can give to help my students have food and books during spring break.
