Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My goal for the following school year is to introduce lessons on culture and diversity, emotions, animals, and seasons, through books. This year, I have seen my students grow a great love for books, but I do not have the proper materials to share with them to help expand their knowledge and interest. They enjoy going to the library and looking through the books with classmates or bringing them to me and asking if I could read it to them. The enjoyment that they have gotten from such minimal resources shows me that they would greatly appreciate more quality books. I have included books about holidays, making friends, culture, and getting them ready for kindergarten. I would love to help my young students learn and thrive through the use of books.
