Because of your generosity, my students now have access to a wide variety of books at many reading levels. While I have added many used titles myself, the books purchased through this project expanded our collection in meaningful ways.\r\nMany of my students were reading below grade level at the start of the year. Having a range of titles allowed each child to find books that matched their interests and reading abilities. As a result, I watched students grow into more confident readers and show increased enthusiasm for reading—gains that also strengthened their fluency and comprehension. It was truly rewarding to see this progress.\r\nThe books from this project have been especially popular and have played a big role in motivating students to read more. The Baby-Sitters Club series, in particular, has become a favorite. So many students requested more titles that I purchased additional books from the series to meet their interest.\r\nThank you again for helping us build a classroom library that inspires reading and supports student growth.","fullyFundedDate":1703182801267,"projectUrl":"project/fun-new-additions-to-classroom-library/7909523/","projectTitle":"Fun & New Additions to Classroom Library!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Luna Medina","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8055169"},{"teacherId":8174361,"projectId":9204506,"letterContent":"When the snacks arrived, my students were genuinely excited and appreciative. It created a sense of care and community in our classroom right away. We've been using the snacks during independent work time and group activities, helping students stay energized and ready to participate.\r\nSince introducing these resources, I've noticed students are more settled, focused, and willing to engage in lessons without distractions. It has especially helped during longer academic blocks where maintaining attention can be challenging.\r\nAs we move forward, these snacks will continue to support our daily learning routines and upcoming projects by ensuring students can stay focused, comfortable, and prepared to succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1746786255623,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-minds/9204506/","projectTitle":"Fueling Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Olea","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8174361_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1649360250143","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8174361"},{"teacherId":1396789,"projectId":9627333,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredible generosity! When the boxes of snacks first arrived in our classroom, my students were absolutely thrilled. They gathered around with wide eyes and big smiles, cheering as we unpacked each item. One student even shouted, \"Now we have food for our brains!\" It was a heartwarming moment that showed just how much these resources mean to them.\r\n\r\nIn a kindergarten classroom, we move at a fast pace, and \"hangry\" moments can quickly derail a great lesson. Having these healthy snacks readily available has transformed our daily routine. Instead of focusing on a rumbling stomach during our literacy blocks, my students are now engaged, energetic, and ready to tackle their phonics and sight words. These snacks provide the consistent energy they need to stay focused and participate fully in our hands-on activities.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we are diving into our mid-year reading assessments and starting a new unit on hibernation and migration.
