My Project

At Nānākuli High and Intermediate School (NHIS), we are committed to building a strong, connected school community grounded in Hawaiian values. Our middle school students are learning that small actions—like kindness, respect, and ho‘okipa (hospitality)—can make a big impact.

To support this vision, we are seeking funding for a sticker machine that will allow students to create and distribute positive, student-designed stickers across campus.

These stickers will feature messages and artwork inspired by Hawaiian values such as aloha, kuleana, mālama, and ho‘okipa.

With your support, our students will not only design artwork but also lead a movement of kindness and ho‘okipa across campus. This project will help us grow a school environment where every student feels seen, valued, and connected.

Project Goals:

Encourage students to actively practice kindness and inclusion

Build school pride and strengthen NHIS Hawks identity

Provide a creative outlet for student voice and leadership

Reinforce Hawaiian values in everyday student interactions

Students will design stickers that reflect positive messages, cultural values, and school pride. These designs will be printed and stocked in a sticker machine placed in a central location on campus.

Why It Matters:

Middle school is a critical time for building identity and relationships. By giving students a fun, creative, and meaningful way to recognize one another, we are creating a culture where positivity is visible and contagious. This project transforms something simple—a sticker—into a powerful tool for connection, belonging, and pride in our NHIS Hawks community.

What We Need:

Sticker machine

Custom sticker printing supplies or initial bulk order of student-designed stickers

Design materials (paper, markers, or digital tools if needed)

Tokens or system for distributing stickers
