Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have three classes full of wonderful third graders. The school is in a lower-income area. I want to be able to help my kids get every advantage they can get, even if that means the district is only able to help fund a small part of that.

These children are smart and willing to learn.

They are not always able to get the latest trends in technology due to the price. That is why they must learn the foundations and appreciate what they are able to use.

My Project

Returning from the winter break can be a relief to some students.Especially ones who have limited access to food at home. I would like to provide extra snacks to students who may have had a hard few weeks. I would also like some extra masks, sanitizer, and cleaning wipes to make sure returning students are coming back to a safe and clean space. With the current spike, these extra items on hand will make a world of difference. It can be scary going through this all again. If I can reassure them with food and a safe place, then I have complete my goal.
