Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, but come to school every day ready to grow. At my school, children learn through hands-on exploration and cross-curricular instruction, supported by a STEAM-focused curriculum.

“What,” “why,” "when," and “how” are words that are embraced and encouraged in my classroom.

Students are agents of their own learning and are given the space to investigate their interests. My classroom is a place for students to grow, imagine, and thrive, all through learning with organized play.

My Project

Mind & Movement grows every year, and there is no stopping us! The items I am requesting are based upon the growing curriculum as well as the students' interest and skill set abilities.

This project is not only to improve Mind & Movement but also creates a wave to enhance our Aftercare program.

Continuously adding sports creates more growth in our school as well as our community. Adding sports also gives the students a chance to continue to build their sportsmanship in other settings they are unfamiliar with. Sports Matter 2.0 will introduce new and exciting learning opportunities to those willing to try!
