Your contribution has made a tangible difference in the lives of my students, and I'm thrilled to share how we're putting the new resources to work.\r\n\r\nThe moment the materials arrived, my students were absolutely thrilled! They immediately explored the new additions to our learning space.\r\n\r\nWe've been consistently incorporating the resources into our daily routines. The spin chair has become a favorite for quick movement breaks throughout the day, helping students refocus and regulate their energy. It's been particularly wonderful to see one of my students discover creative ways to use the chair to support his needs – he's really benefitted from the opportunity to move and self-regulate! We've also been using the books about anger with great success. The students are really connecting with the characters and learning valuable strategies for managing their emotions.\r\n\r\nCurrently, we are continuing our work on emotional regulation. We'll be revisiting the anger management books to reinforce the concepts throughout the year, and I'm planning to introduce the worry bracelet to one of my students who I believe will benefit from having a calming tool readily available.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in my students' well-being and learning. Your generosity has created a more engaging and supportive classroom environment.","fullyFundedDate":1758827286734,"projectUrl":"project/practicing-self-regulation-special-educ/9684735/","projectTitle":"Practicing Self-Regulation: Special Education Resources Needed!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. O'Hara","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10002300"},{"teacherId":8590426,"projectId":8900193,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations. With the supplies received, students have been able to hang their work from the ceilings, create personalized binders to house their work, and store their binders in an easily accessible area.\r\n\r\nSince hanging work from the ceilings with the hooks and fishing lines, multiple students have commented on being happy that others get to see their work and they have something to proudly showcase. The students worked with adults to design covers for their work binders with items that they love. Inside the binders, students choose which pieces of work they are proud of and are able to see growth in their abilities over time. With these binders being easily accessible to the students, they can show other adults their work and even add assignments from other teachers that they want to be a part of their \"work portfolio.\"\r\n\r\nThe students in our school love to show each other and adults what they are capable of, and you, the donors, have made this possible.","fullyFundedDate":1733333071323,"projectUrl":"project/lets-see-what-you-can-do/8900193/","projectTitle":"Let's See What You Can Do!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Florence","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8590426"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_109339","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":184,"numTeachers":13,"percentFrplEligible":78,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":90,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":61.2,"schoolId":109339,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about The Biome Steam School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"The Biome Steam School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/missouri/missouri-department-of-education/the-biome/109339"}
