Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at a Title I school. A majority of my students are first-generation Americans with hardworking immigrant parents. Seventy percent of the students at my school are receiving free or reduced-priced lunch.
I teach a wonderful group of Kindergarten students.
My students are hard-working and enthusiastic learners. They are easily motivated and enjoy attending school every day. They are always excited to try and learn new concepts. My students inspire me every day to be a better teacher.
My Project
My students love being physical. They love being outdoors and enjoy getting their bodies active. I am requesting foam frisbees and swing balls to help keep my students healthy. The foam frisbees will help my students improve their coordination and tossing skills. They are made of soft foam, so students will not get hurt while using these materials. The swing balls will help develop students's motor functions while burning excess energy. It will also give my students a fun activity for them to do during physical education. Your support of this project will provide the materials my students need to be healthy
