My Students

"Wow, I never thought about it that way..." I am sure I repeat this sentence daily in my classroom. I am privileged and honored to be teaching 51 intense thinkers! They never cease to amaze me with their strategies and ideas to solve a variety of real-world problems. We explore concepts in 4th-grade math and science.

We have a goal to explore and appreciate the diversity in our classroom by learning about each other!

Our school has a diverse population and we have explored different ways that people from diverse cultures communicate, how they learn, what they celebrate and value, and the historical moments for a specific country.

My Project

A document camera is important for the classroom for students to be able to share their findings without needing to rewrite anything on the board. This can be a project that needs to be magnified for everyone to see or work shown for a math problem. There really are many different ways to use this valuable resource!

Along with diving deeper into analyzing math concepts, we also set a goal to explore and master sports played around the world together during recess!

We are looking forward to playing volleyball, double dutch, and soccer (football). We are working on widening our horizons and welcoming different cultures into our classroom. Sports takes up a big part of many cultures!
