Help me give my students the hydration needed to compete successfully in basketball sporting events. My cart is filled with only a variety of Gatorade!

Most of my students are from low-income backgrounds. This reason alone places them at risk for many failures and pitfalls in life unless they have the needed support to move beyond their current situation. Participating in sports is another opportunity for them to thrive in their educational environment.
Participating in sports provides an opportunity for the students to excel outside of the classroom and gain much-needed leadership and teambuilding experience.
My position, as a DonorsChoose Teacher Ambassador, provides an opportunity for me to help our sports program continue to thrive and stay alive. With fluctuating incomes in our community and school budgets, our athletes could use a boost to make sure they have the needed supplies to compete successfully.
I am helping to support our girls and boys basketball teams. Hydration before, during and after participating in sports is very important for the body to reami in a healthy competitive state.
These athletes will be able to focus on playing on the court instead of being concerned about if they will have sufficient hydration to keep their body fueled.
I am assisting our coaches in writing this grant to help ensure the proper hydration for our athletes. Competing in sports gives our boys and girls an additional outlet to learn.
