Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our grade level is such an integral grade level because students begin to develop more academic skills and really foster a foundation in all of the subjects. Many of my students come to school eager to learn, and it is amazing to see how much they have grown by the end of the year. I would like to have the ability to provide my students with quality, Tier One instruction throughout the year.
My project is to get the Splash Reading Games, which will allow my students to practice their reading fluency and increase reading achievement.
Reading fluency is important because when fluent readers read silently, they recognize words automatically. Because fluent readers do not have to concentrate on decoding the words, they can focus their attention on what the text means.
