My Project

Our students have powered through some difficult times and weathered the storm, but somewhere along the way, we have definitely lost our sense of camaraderie and school spirit. To start this new year off with a sense of belonging and friendly competition, we would like to institute The Viking Cup Challenge. Throughout the year, students will have the opportunity to participate in 26 activities where they will not only identify more strongly with their classmates but will reinforce SEL characteristics including decision making, managing emotions, and achieving positive goals. Additionally, the students will see and learn to value the importance of community and begin to feel a sense of pride and an enhanced awareness of their place within the school society. The culmination of this competition will result in a classwide team winner which will be celebrated with a Viking Helmet trophy that will rotate each year and a field day with treats worthy of the county fair!
