Help me give my students back the technology at their fingertips. Another one bites the dust! After 8 years with 1:1 iPads, they are almost 100% dead. I need to replace one Chromebook at a time.

My Students

Our school's vision is to promote collaboration between staff, parents, and students to achieve academic excellence. We strive to create a safe environment, which fosters the development of responsible, caring students who are lifelong learners that are prepared to meet the challenges of a culturally diverse society.

Our classroom is full of energetic students ready to learn.

They are a hardworking group of 13 boys and 15 girls in San Ramon, CA. They are determined and hardworking. Each student brings different talents and interests to our group, and we celebrate our great diversity!

My Project

After eight years of the same 1:1 iPads, the iPads are dying a slow death. It should not take two days to load one app. When the students are working on an app, it freezes continuously. It becomes frustrating for the students, as they lose all progress or work. The iPads are too old to update new apps. In lieu of replacing iPads for other pricey iPads, I have chosen to go with a more economical Chromebook.

In order to keep STEM at my 5th graders' fingertips, the slow dying iPads need to be replaced with one Chromebook at a time.

With the Chromebooks, my students can continue to research for Social Studies projects, discover more about Science, reinforce and be challenged by Math skills, practice keyboarding skills and coding, and create movies for projects. If not funded, we would become 1 to 14 with the two older Chromebooks.
