My Project
The thing that I love the most about my students is that they push me to reinvent the way I do things. I teach in an area where approximately two-thirds of the students are at an economic disadvantage, but they don't let that define who they are. My students have diverse backgrounds and I love to get to know all of their stories and embrace the awesome kids that they are! My students never fail to inspire me to become a better teacher. My students are 6th grade STEM students that are always looking for a challenge! They don't just want to learn something, they want to apply meaning to it and they want to know that it is relevant. I want to be able to give them the opportunity to learn and have fun and challenge themselves in the process.
Lego has been a mainstay in educational technology for over forty years!
This kit will continuously engage students through playful learning activities to think critically and solve complex problems, regardless of their learning level. It will allow them to start with an easy-entry project and then continue to expand and create to make it better after testing and refining. I want my students to learn the essential STEAM and 21st century skills needed to become the innovative minds of tomorrow... while having fun!
