My Project

I work on a wide variety of speech and language concepts with students from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade. This includes not just speech sounds but also social language, expressive language, basic concepts, stuttering, and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) for students who communicate in a variety of ways. The items in this project would help me target a variety of skills in a way that adds fun to increase engagement and create positive memories and experiences while working on students' speech and language skills.

The books, syllable drilling deck, sequencing/storytelling cards, bubbles and toys will inspire students to communicate more and strengthen their speech and language skills.

This is especially important for students who are not fluently reading and/or have significant communication needs.

This will helps students not only access their curriculum but also build communication skills with staff, peers, and their community. Each of these tools builds understanding, create engaging structured or guided practice, and/or encourages more natural communication and promotes generalization that will help my students communicate beyond the speech room.
