Speech Dreams: Print, Laminate, Read, and Play—Talking Tools for Success!
Help me give my students access to therapy materials that can be presented in color and laminated for future use. A color printer and laminator will allow my students to have a better experience with speech therapy materials.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
As a bilingual speech-language pathologist early on in my career, I understand the immense value of acquiring the right tools to support my students effectively. I have dedicated my practice and education to understanding the diverse needs of my bilingual students and actively incorporating their cultural differences into my therapy.
A color printer enables me to craft vibrant visual aids tailored to the diverse linguistic needs of my students, enhancing comprehension and engagement.
With a laminator, I ensure the durability of my materials, extending their lifespan through countless sessions. Books serve as gateways to language exploration, fostering literacy skills in both languages. Toys become versatile tools for interactive, language-rich play, facilitating communication development in a dynamic and enjoyable manner. Stickers add an element of excitement, offering tangible rewards for progress and motivation.
Equipped with these essential tools, I am poised to provide my students with the best therapy and learning opportunities, nurturing their communication skills in both languages with creativity, passion, and dedication.
