This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a new special education teacher asking for support for my algebra and physics classroom.

These subjects can be intimidating for any student, let alone those with learning disabilities.

I want our classroom to be friendly and fun and encourage curiosity and play. I plan to put up colorful encouraging posters, a giant interactive sudoku or wordle section, math and science "walls" where students can add problems or solutions or just look up formulas, and a calming corner - a quiet space for when they feel overwhelmed with tools to take a calm moment.
