Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All these teaching tools will be an immense help for our special education kids' learning journey.

My goal for this project is to be able to accommodate our students' learning preferences.

Most of these items have a sensory aspect that we know will help our students learn and focus better through smell, touch, or visuals.

All of these items are essential to further our kids' learning either through modeling or sensory. The paint dabber and scented markers are for the students who are drawn to color and smell. The chair fidget bands and squishy toys are manipulatives of a sort. They will appeal to the students who fidget through physical touch, whether it's through texture or motion.

The sensory learning board and play-doh tools will be an awesome way to teach our students tasks as simple as tying their shoes or reviewing shapes through play-doh. With these tools the kids will be able to practice through physical movement and modelling which will make understanding the content easier. Last but not least, the chair floor protectors, pencil pouches, and X-ACTO paper cutter are items we need for our overall classroom. They're items that help us provide to our students academic environment.

Every student's learning style is different. We as educators see the potential and know our students are capable. We want to accommodate as much as we can to make their learning experience better.
