My project needs 1 set of 8 science tubs with hands-on activities and books based on animals, plants, rocks, soil, weather, force and motion, the solar system, matter and insects.
In North Carolina we are preparing our students for standardized science testing which will be added within the next two years for 3rd - 5th grade students. I would like to prepare my 1st grade students for this ahead of time by offering them fun and creative ways to learn about science. When I was in school, the best part about science involved all the experiments we did. However, these hands-on experiments did not happen until middle school.
I would love to give my students the opportunity to engage in science experiments that will help them learn a deeper understanding of science all around them. The science tubs offered through Lakeshore have a tub for each science subject covered in our 1st grade curriculum which ensures that my students will have meaningful science experiments throughout the entire school year.
