My Students

My students face challenges inside and outside of their school every day. We live in Appalachian Ohio where having basic needs is a challenge. We all chase after success with what we have and we have fun finding creative ways to achieve. Our school is a Title I funded school, struggling with cuts to funding every year. We don't give up!

My students are workers!

School is a safe haven for several of them. Breaking the cycle is in their veins. They love knowing how people in the world are willing to help, as this teaches them the power of generosity and selflessness.

My Project

Science is about exploring, experimenting, and testing. These supplies will help us get started on our explorations. Learning in this classroom is achieved through creating experiences. We want to be able to feel and see science by using the materials that we are learning about. Having balances to measure, magnets to explore, models to feel and see will give us the tools we need to take our lessons further.

Exploration through doing is how we learn!

Having the supplies needed to accurately measure, feel, see and do will give us the confidence in Science to enhance our knowledge and create successful scientists!
