My students are 2nd and 3rd grade students from New York City in a Special Education class. They are hard working, happy students. My students come from low-income families and need every advantage they can get. They face many challenges outside of school, but they work hard in school to succeed.
They have the smarts and the motivation to be the best; let's give them the materials.
I want to ensure my students have all the necessary tools to compete in our challenging world.
My Project
My students will feel so happy and proud of their classroom when they have beautiful and much needed supplies. Students have many academic demands put on them. We all have high expectations of them daily. But they don't always have the materials to achieve these goals.
Learning becomes a little more fun and creative when students are given the right supplies.
Please help me give my students the necessities such as pencils, tape, markers and the extras, such as colored pencils, post its, construction paper and laminating sheets to make it special!
Nothing makes a child feel more special than laminating a project or piece of art work that they have created. They actually call it magic!
