This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our special education classroom, we work with students who have diverse needs, including sensory challenges. Many of these students come from low-income families, and some are language learners. These materials provide essential sensory supplies that can significantly improve their learning experience.

Sensory tools, such as fidget tools, weighted blankets, and sensory-friendly seating, play a crucial role in helping our students feel comfortable and focused.

For children from low-income backgrounds and language learners, these tools are especially valuable, creating a more inclusive and supportive learning environment.

These materials will directly benefit these exceptional children, empowering them to overcome challenges and succeed in their education. By providing the necessary sensory supplies, we aim to create an environment where every student, regardless of their background, can thrive and actively participate in the learning process.
