I am the lucky teacher of a second grade class in Henderson, Nevada. My students are a diverse group of multicultural students; from English language learners to highly gifted students. My students know that doing their best work is most important in my classroom. That attitude insures that everyone is growing and learning in their own way.
Because I love teaching, I teach children to love learning!
I want my students to know that learning should never stop no matter what age they are in their life. Life long learning is a mindset that students can apply from now to adulthood. I hope that my positive and inviting classroom inspires my students to continually dream big!
By teaching acceptance, hard work, diversity, and kindness we can all grow and build a better tomorrow.
I would like to put these stools around my guided reading table in order to increase time on task to improve reading! Kids in this age group have a limited time in which they can sit and listen to directions or be able to focus on reading a book or writing. Wobble stools increase time on task because students can sit and move at the same time! All of the students in my class would greatly benefit from this project because they will be able to sit and learn for a longer period of time! They will become better readers at a faster rate.
