Help me give my students props and costumes for their annual end of year talent show. Each class does a dance for the show for the whole school to see. The theme of the talent show is Y2K.
MTV, TRL, and Y2K are coming to life on stage. These special students are putting on an end of the year talent show. The students have been rehearsing for months. The students are doing dances to various early 2000s songs as Total Request Live music videos. We are including pop star interviews and old MTV reality show commercials (made by the students) airing on a projector in between set changes. The costumes and props will help give the essence of the music videos, celebrity interviews, and MTV reality commercial skits.
We are hoping that we can fund the costumes and props in order to make the performance as real as possible for our students.
We want to provide the students with the full performing experience and we want to make sure we include costumes, props, and set pieces.
The students are in a high school in New York City. Our district is a specialized district of schools for moderate to severe disabilities. Our students range from ages 14 to 22 years old. Our school is a work-based learning high school specializing in vocational training and daily living skills. The annual talent show is a school favorite and the students love performing for the other schools and their parents every year.
