My Students

Help my unique group of students learn more about themselves and their abilities with iPod Touches and a video camera!

I work with students in pre-K all the way to sixth grade.

In general, my students have a wide range of growth areas in the areas of speech and language. I meet with them at least one time per week and teach them skills and strategies to overcome their struggles and become more confident in their abilities!

My Project

I am requesting 3 iPod Touches and one video camera. I hope to partner with Chevron's Fuel Your School grant program. I know these materials will help my students in several ways. I will use the video camera to record my students with articulation issues. Seeing themselves on camera helps my students to see their growth areas. A camera with a built-in USB port makes it easy for me to quickly show my students their videos. It also allows me to transfer data quickly and efficiently! The iPod Touches will allow me to serve students' many needs! There are several apps that my students could use to help them practice their speech and language skills in fun and engaging ways!

These technological resources will greatly help my students not only improve with their speech and language skills, but also help their self confidence!

I am confident that the iPod touches and video camera will help my students so much that they will make great progress! Great progress leads to a high increase in self confidence! I want to thank Chevron's Fuel Your School Program in advance for considering funding this important project!
