My students bring me so many reasons to smile every day. My students range from two years of age to five and have a wide range of disabilities. Regardless of their disabilities they are bright, loving, and amazing humans. My students love tickling, hugging, and giving high fives. My students work hard everyday and I am very proud of how far they have come. Many of my students were not talking at the beginning of the year and now they are starting to say words!
These will make a difference in my students in our classroom by having our students who have sensory processing disorder be able to attend to tasks and circle time with their peers comfortably. We learn things like greeting our peers, taking turns, colors, shapes and ABCs during circle time. I want my students to feel comfortable regardless of their disabilities so that they have the highest chance to succeed in our classroom. This type of seating is also easier for my smaller students to be able to move around the classroom in order for them to successfully learn where they feel most comfortable.
