Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

A sofa and a moveable magnetic easel will allow the students in my self-contained autistic support classroom to be able to learn in a position that is comfortable for them. Whether that be laying down, sitting criss-cross apple sauce, or lounging back.

When comfortable, my students pay attention more and receive more information from my lessons.

With the movable magnetic easel, I will be able to allow my students to sit on the couch, rug, or floor and teach from the ground, being eye level with them! This easel will also allow for secluded, one on one work, without the distraction of other students in the classroom.
