However, the items provided, especially the mints, helped relieve students' nerves and anxiety. \r\n\r\nThe specific items provided serve a much greater purpose than just being \"supplies.\" The sharpened pencils ensure no one is slowed down and needs to wait for a new pencil, especially as teachers stress working out problems on scrap paper before answering. The mints and hard candy provide that quick boost of focus and comfort needed during long testing blocks. The students loved the scented stickers—a simple but powerful \"job well done\" reward that makes the end of a long session feel like a celebration.
