My Project

The use of smartboards and white boards gives students with focusing issues an area to focus on. In an ICT classroom there is usually one smartboard which makes parallel teaching and supporting a smaller group of students difficult. Whiteboards will help in almost a daily activity. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. What becomes a problem is the fact that the markers never seem to last, erasers seem to disappear, and the whiteboards slowly become stained from frequent use.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. There are many of my students who are 3 or more grades below reading level. Providing a variety of books of interest at their reading level will give them greater options to practice their reading. Some students benefit from listening to audio books or practicing their reading skills with digital lessons. Class set of headphones will also help support focus and allow each student to work and listen without distracting others.
