Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This will be my first year teaching in a Special Education classroom. I have 26 special ed students from various disabilities. I am so eager to embark on this journey with an amazing group of students. This school year, I am going to have students grades kindergarten through sixth. I am eager to teach math, social skills, and language arts.

I’m excited for my students to show what they know and grow!

I want my students to have the best opportunity for success and will do everything in my power to give them that. Last year, I spent $2000 out of my own pocket to supplement the lack of funding we received for supplies and curriculum.

I teach special education in Midland Texas. My students are coming from all walks of life and various disabilities. I love that no matter what struggles life has given them, they remain positive and hard working.

My Project

My class size is growing and we have outgrown my current classroom. With a bigger class, we need more seating for my students.

I want them to have the most amazing room since they themselves are so amazing!

I also want to tap into their creativity and bring them learning in a fun and exciting way. Pencil and paper doesn't stimulate the brain like an interactive game.

With these items, I know I can create a classroom that students want to come to. I want to give them a safe environment where they can relax, leave their worries behind and give their all to learning!
