I have 25, wonderful, Kindergarten students who are so excited to come to school and learn everyday. I serve low-income students and have a cluster of students who have special education needs from speech, ADHD, and developmental delays. Some of my students have also experienced a significant amount of trauma at a young age. I'm looking to create the most nurturing, educational, and positive environment for these students. I want to give them the ultimate opportunity to flourish and exceed expectations.
My Project
My wish for my students is to have a space in my classroom where they are at their absolute best for learning. With twenty-five 5 years old in the classroom and a cluster of them having ADHD, developmental delays, or special needs, I think it's imperative they are able to feel comfortable and at their best when they are learning. We would love to have a flexible environment for learning and all the hands-on activities we will accomplish throughout the year. Having alternative seating will help the students be in their optimum learning potential throughout the day.
The wobble cushions will allow for children to do centers on the carpet and have a comfortable space to learn.
The calming soft seats will allow for fidgety students to have a designated area to sit.
These seating options will help them learn and keep the fidgets away!
