These items will significantly help my special educational Kindergarten students. I want to create a calm down corner for my students so they have a place to take a break and relieve their anger instead of taking it out in an inappropriate manner. We will be practicing a lot of social emotional skills this year to help students learn how to interact with each other and regulate their feelings. My class has had a lot of trauma in their young lives so it's imperative we have a safe space for these friends to take a break and control their feelings. The stress balls and cool down mat would help them safely release their anger while they are in the calm down corner. All of these manipulatives will help them calmly channel their feelings.
