Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My physics students are curious and interested in our world. They are an incredibly diverse group from around the world. Many speak other languages, yet all come together to learn. Regardless of their culture, all families want their children to learn everything they can and prepare for a successful future.
Like most students today, they infuse technology into all of their activities.
Having access every day helps them learn about physics. Science classes are great for allowing all students to integrate technology into learning concepts.
My Project
Physics listens to many short videos. Speakers are needed to be able to hear short videos and presentations. Our current pair got dropped and is now cracks and cuts out. This set of speakers should be powerful enough to be heard all across the room.
Students who explain their thinking to other students retain the physics concepts better than those who don´t.
The coroplast boards are used as whiteboards by my classes for collaboration and problem presentations. They are inexpensive, a good size and can use washable markers. This makes them a great light option for whiteboards. Not having to buy expo markers for these is helpful. The clothes can be used to wash the board.
