This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Teamwork, fitness, and kicking OH MY!. Haven't you ever wished you could get great exercise while working together with friends and having a good time?

My little Spartans are extremely loyal and face many challenges at home and in their community.

Concepts such as teamwork and conflict resolution will be extremely important for their futures, but they don't always come to school having been exposed to them.

My Project

I am requesting 1 cageball to develop teamwork, cooperative skills, as well as striking/kicking skills. A cageball is a large ball that requires a good deal of muscular strength and endurance to kick/roll. It often can be used in a variety of partnership or team activities due to its size and heft. Students will be able to get a great work out AND make lasting friendships playing games such as crab soccer and giant bowling.

Getting this cage ball will allow my students to learn some new games such as crab soccer and giant bowling.

The teamwork nature of these games will help develop their cooperative skills and conflict resolution techniques. Combine that with the fact that they will need to really use their muscles to play. What a great deal- muscles, social skills, and fun, all wrapped into one.
