Sparking Creativity and Problem Solving with STEM Bins

Help me give my students morning STEM activities, like the Design Build Engineering Centers and literacy bins to promote student creativity, challenge their thinking, and accompany our soft start school days.

My Students

I teach a diverse group of 26 kindergarten students. Our classroom is a community where the focus is on the students. They are sponges, with the ability to acquire endless amounts of knowledge. They come to school everyday with smiles, hugs, and the longing to learn everything, and anything. It is my job, to create an environment that fosters a love for learning, creating these little humans into lifelong learners.

Students thrive in an environment that is open to collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking.

I want my classroom to be a place that students not only learn what they need to learn in kindergarten, but a place that sets them on a college, career ready path!

My Project

The materials I am requesting with this project, will be used daily during our soft start school day. When students come into the classroom, they are able to choose the bin that they want to work in, which will spark creativity, challenge their thinking, require them to problem solve, or allow them to practice important skills.

Children have a natural drive to play, explore, and engineer.

Providing meaningful STEM Bins, allows students to start their day with meaningful activities. All of the materials requested will have students engaged in creative, complex tasks, and encourages them to think like inventors.

The Young Architects Design Blocks, Manga-Tiles, Blocks & Blueprints Learning Center, and more, will be keep students engaged in meaningful learning opportunities that will spark their creativity, and help our young learners grow and be prepared for the future.
