Students often feel empowered when they have a choice, so why not give them a choice of where they work throughout the day. Having flexible seating within my classroom would allow students choice of where they sit, who they collaborate with, and give them more physical activity as they move through their day. Every child had a different learning style, so allowing them to choose an area/position where they can be successful, allows for optimal learning. The inflatable balls I'm requesting, allow students to feel less restless, and focus their energy on learning. The floor seats and lap desks will allow students to work around the room in a spot of their choice, easily collaborating with their peers. All of these classroom items, would give my students an amazing start to the flexible seating world, and all the benefits that come with it.
