My students come from diverse backgrounds, but they all share the same love of learning. My students are kindergartners from a suburban area outside of New Orleans. All of the students are on free and reduced lunch due to economic status. They are energetic and excited about coming to school. For some of them, this is their first school experience.
They are learning so much and growing into good citizens.
They are hard working students and eager to please. They bring so much joy and laughter into my days, which I am able to spread to others.
Seat Sacks will make a difference in my classroom organizationally and will help my students to keep track of their belongings. Currently, students' supplies are on shelves around the classroom. These supplies take up a lot of space that could be used for other purposes. When my students need a certain supply, they have to get up from their table and move around the room. Keeping supplies in seat sacks would limit the need to move around the room retrieving supplies. It would also lesson instructional distractions.
By keeping all supplies in a seat sack, the students would learn to be responsible for their own supplies.
Responsibility is a huge life lesson and I teach my students to always accept responsibility for their items and actions. My students would gain a life skill by having these Seat Sacks to hold all of there supplies.
