Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love teaching my students in New York City. One of the greatest joys I have is being the faculty adviser of the Drama Club at the school. Here, I get the chance to see a different side of students, outside of the classroom.
The Drama Club has become an extended family where students can feel free to be themselves.
The students are a blast to have in rehearsals. They are eager to learn, collaborate, and succeed. My students are excited to show their talent and skills in our upcoming production of Into the Woods!
My Project
The Drama Club at our school is continuously growing and expanding each year. Our Drama Club provides a safe haven for many students who may feel they finally have a place where they belong in a school community.
This year, we are working on our biggest production yet: Into the Woods!
This intricate and detailed show involves a variety of sets, props, and costumes that we currently do not have the budget for. With your generous contribution, you will help bring our musical to life, and in turn, a new cohort of students will fall in love with the stage.
