My Project

As we all know, healing is making or becoming sound and healthy again. Many tools and modalities are currently used in practice to guide students toward their personalized healing journeys; however, I’m finding that not all tools and modalities offered through the school district work for all our students. Each student is unique in their personality, goals, beliefs, and life experiences, which makes some of these traditional healing techniques impractical and inept with students. I’ve been determined to find a way to introduce a new modality that I believe will heal and resonate with most students experiencing this struggle, as well as to offer a new healing tool to those already venturing on their healing journey.

This specific healing modality focuses on sound and frequencies that aim to heal the mind, body, and soul.

Sound healing utilizes specific frequencies that are linked to particular patterns in numerology and geometry and are said to have positive effects on the mind, body, and soul of an individual; for instance, research has found that 174 Hz can help relieve pain and stress, whereas 396Hz helps liberate the listener from fear and guilt. There’s magic in sound and the Hz we choose to listen to, and I would like the opportunity to not only introduce and provide psychoeducation for sound healing but also provide them with the instruments to use and experiment with sound themselves.

Here, you will find 432Hz drums that I would like to use with students to help promote healing through a new sound therapy modality. By having access to these instruments, students will not only be able to listen to the healing sounds, but they will also be the creators of their healing journeys.
