Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Most of my students are English Language Learners, speaking primarily Spanish or Marshallese. My students come to me with a wide range of abilities, cultures and life experiences. Ninety percent of our students are classified below the poverty level.
These students come to school ready to learn in every way and I would love to give them all the resources necessary to succeed!
Integrating hands-on learning into the classroom is a top priority for our classroom! Hands-on learning will help students develop their fine motor skills as well as increase enjoyment in school. The students in my classroom are beyond eager to learn and excel! We would greatly appreciate your donation!
My Project
We will use the items in such as the mini trinkets and relia to help us with beginning and ending sounds. The miniature items are so perfect for providing a form of realia with my young kiddos. Their small size makes it easy to store them and be able to provide all types of activities through a hands-on experience. I have been working to create little containers that cover a variety of concepts and themes
The Echo will be used to help save time on transitions, as we can quickly use it for timers and music during transitions
We also asked for books, math tools, and Literacy games! For our kindness project, we need more vinyl and a heat press to use with our Cricut, as well as kindness rocks and canvas! We want to spread kindness all throughout our school!
