Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My preschoolers are energetic, eager to learn, and have fun in the classroom! They love to be artistic and create new things on a daily basis. Our classroom would be considered a multicultural learning environment since we have five different languages spoken in the classroom. My classroom serves challenged socioeconomic families. Therefore, many times my students suffer lack of exposure to different learning experiences and the American culture. Providing my students these experiences will contribute to enrich their knowledge.
My Project
My preschool students need classroom supplies on a daily basis to further their knowledge in all areas of development. Preparation of specific resources will help my students to become independent learners while developing classroom routines, transitions, academic, social-emotional, art, and fine motor skills. Having a printer, card stock paper, velcro strips/dots, various types of tape, and laminating sheets available in the classroom will benefit the students to develop independence during transitions throughout the school day.
Making these resources in advance will allow my students to acquire their full independence while reaching their highest potential in all areas of development.
These resources acquired from this project will help create routine cards, laminated pictures/word labels for ELL students, as well as many other things that will help with their different areas of learning throughout the school year.
