Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have twenty wonderful students eager to learn, and acquire 21st century skills. My students are from a low socioeconomic neighborhood, are second language learners, and at-risk students.
My students are full of wonder, and I want them to have the same opportunities as other students with resources to reach their full potential.
Technology is a great tool to help them navigate the world around them.
Many of my students have never even left outside the neighborhood where they live and have no idea about all the beauty in this world. I wish to help them to take them to places they have never been before through technology.
My Project
Students will use the iPads to access online learning like teacher created lessons and resources. Upload their work and share with me.
I will post assignments and video lessons in Google Classroom.
Students will read, write and access other online resources that help them continue their learning.
Students will use online manipulative to practice concepts and use online games to refine their math skills.
Students also can use technology to learn, and travel to other places while being at home such as museums,, zoos and monuments. Students can use technology to stay in touch with their peers, and continue developing their social-emotional skills.
