Once we put it together, they could not wait to sit on the bench and read with a friend! This not only instills in my students the joy of reading, but it encourages them to use their \"free time\" to read with friends because they like to sit on the bench and read. \r\nThe storage down below allows me to select which books students can choose from on a weekly basis, so their leisure reading is tied to instruction and current vocabulary.\r\nThe kids love this bench!
