Some children learn better when they have a work station or a game that are in color. The color ink with stimulates their senses of students with special learning needs and disabilities and and helps them differentiate the ink on the page. All students have different needs. With a color printer, I could create work stations, games, and worksheets with different levels of complexity. With a printer in my classroom, I wouldn't have to wait for days for the school printer to get fixed in order to use it. I work with low income immigrant children. Most of my students do not have access to computers or printers at home,. A printer would allow me to help my students print their History and Science Fair projects at school, so that they are not limited by their circumstances.
