Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember as a kid being completely excited to start school? Or how scary it was the first time you went? This coming school year will be the first time my students will experience these feelings. Nervousness, excitement, separation anxiety from parents. Receiving these materials will hopefully help to ease the transition from home to school, anxiety to excitement.

The school and district I work at is very economically disadvantaged.

While my campus provides basic supplies and materials, I strive to continuously enrich their classroom experience with different situations; whether those in a book or in real life. These materials will provide opportunities for continuous success.

My Project

Pre-K is the most important year of a child's school career. Not only do they lay the foundation for the rest of their education by learning letters, colors, and numbers, but learn interpersonal skills crucial to development. These materials would boost my classroom library, and make it an enticing and cozy place to read.

Creative play and flexible seating are essential to a Pre-K classroom!

Little's learn through experience. They need the ability to learn by doing and have the choice to learn on the floor, pillows, tables, beanbags or standing! These materials would help me transition my classroom from 3rd grade learning to Pre-K.
