Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am fortunate to be able to teach a wonderful group of third grade students. As an intervention teacher, I have my own classroom and pull out the students that are struggling the most in ELA and Mathematics. Our students have been given a laptop for use throughout the school year within the school, along with in-ear headphones to use when listening to online iReady lessons. My students have expressed that they prefer headphones that go over their ears rather than the headphones that go inside of their ears. Therefore, I have created this project in hopes of gathering more headphones for my students to use within my classroom when listening to their iReady lessons. I appreciate any and all donations given to myself and my students for use in our active third grade classroom!
My Project
Each week our students must complete two online interactive lessons which require them to use headphones to listen to the lessons before solving problems. As several pairs of headphones only work in one ear or no longer work at all, new headphones will allow my students to be able to listen to their lessons more clearly and remain more focused. My students have informed me that they prefer headphones that go over their ears as opposed to headphones that go inside of their ears. Therefore, I chose Sony over-the-ear headphones for my students as my next Go Fund Me project. My students and I will appreciate any and all donations towards new classroom headphones!
